Civil Engineering is the oldest of all disciplines with consistent and continuous demand. In the development in any nation, Civil Engineering plays an important role by providing the basic infrastructural facilities in various fields. The progress of a country is often gauged by the construction activity. More than 60% of allocation of funds in any development projects are towards construction. A Civil Engineer has to work in diverse fields viz.Irrigation, Dams, Canals, Hydropower, Roads, Buildings, Industrial Structures, Bridges, Docks, Harbours, Airfields, Tunnels, Envaironmental Engineering including Water Supply and Wastewater Treatment Systems etc. |
